Cyber Awareness & Safety

by Colleen Worrell, Secondary Technology Integration Coordinator

We want to make sure that parents of current and rising 9th graders save the date for an upcoming event on cyber awareness and safety. On Tuesday, February 5, the Hopkinton Wellness Committee is sponsoring a free seminar, “Virtual Reality/Real Danger: Understanding How to Navigate Modern Cyberspace.” The event will be held from 6:30-8:30pm in the Hopkinton High School Auditorium. The focus is on helping families build cyber-safety awareness and proactive behavior in children and teens, from pre-K through high school. The Middlesex Partnerships for Youth, Inc., a division of the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, will lead the main presentation, and various Hopkinton town and school officials will also speak at this event. Take a moment to explore this page on the town’s website to learn more: http://www.hopkintonma.gov/wellness. We hope to see you there!
